About this board
Four millimetre Finnish birch made from five thin rotary-cut plies, with a B face that is largely free of patches and takes clear lacquer or stain well. The sheet is light, stiff for its thickness and stays flat, which is why laser cutters and model makers get through so much of it.
Use it for drawer bottoms, cabinet backs, jigs and templates. It cuts cleanly with a fine-tooth blade and pins without splitting, though at this thickness it needs support every 400mm or so if it carries any weight. The glue line is exterior grade, but the faces still need sealing outdoors.
