This policy explains how E2 Wholesaler uses cookies and similar technology on https://www.e2-wholesale.co.uk, and how you can control them.
What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Local storage works in a similar way: it lets a website save small pieces of information in your browser so it can remember them next time. In this policy, we use "cookies" to mean both.
Some cookies are essential, because the website cannot work properly without them. Others are optional, such as cookies that help us understand how people use the website. We only use optional cookies if you agree.
Essential storage
We use the following first-party local storage. It is set by our website, not by anyone else. It is needed to provide features you ask for, so we do not ask for your consent to use it.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| e2_basket | Keeps the products and quantities in your basket | Essential, first-party local storage | Until you clear your browser storage, or your basket is emptied |
| e2_vat | Remembers whether you chose to see prices excluding or including VAT | Essential, first-party local storage | Until you clear your browser storage |
| e2_consent | Remembers your cookie choices, so we do not ask you on every page | Essential, first-party local storage | Until you clear your browser storage or change your choices. We ask again after 12 months. |
| e2_pc, e2_ship | Remember the delivery postcode and delivery option you chose, so the basket and checkout can price delivery | Essential, first-party session storage | Until you close the browser tab |
| e2_last | Holds your order reference for the confirmation page after you place an order | Essential, first-party session storage | Until you close the browser tab |
Optional cookies
We only set these cookies if you accept them through our cookie banner. If you do not, the website still works as normal.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Analytics cookies | Help us understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are popular and where people leave, so we can improve it | Optional, may be set by a third party | Varies by provider, up to 2 years |
| Marketing cookies | Help us measure our adverts and show relevant adverts to people who have visited our website | Optional, may be set by a third party | Varies by provider, up to 2 years |
Changing your choices
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop setting optional cookies. You may also need to clear existing cookies in your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. If you clear your browser storage, your basket and settings on our website will be removed. If you block essential storage, parts of the website, such as the basket, will not work.
