We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.
If you have any questions about this notice or your information, email accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
The information we collect

- Delivery and billing details: delivery and billing addresses, and any access notes you give us for the driver.
- Order history: what you have bought, when, and how you paid.
- Payment information: card payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. We may receive limited details, such as the card type and the last four digits, to match payments to orders. For bank transfers, we see the payment details on our bank statement.

- Communications: emails, messages, form submissions and notes of phone calls with you.
- Marketing preferences: whether you want to hear from us, and your choices about cookies.
- Website usage: if you allow optional cookies, information about how you use our website, such as the pages you visit and the device and browser you use. See our cookie policy.
We do not need any special category information, such as health information, and we ask you not to send it to us.
Where we get your information from
- From you, when you order, apply for trade credit, sign up for emails or contact us.
- From our credit partner, who tells us the outcome of your trade credit application and the status of your account.
- From our payment provider, who confirms whether a payment has gone through.
- From public sources, such as Companies House, to check business details.
- From your browser, through cookies and similar technology. See our cookie policy.
How we use your information and why
We may only use your personal information when the law gives us a reason, known as a lawful basis. This table shows what we use your information for and the lawful basis for each use.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced our interests against yours. You can ask us for more information about this.
Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, or if you have bought from us before and did not opt out. This is known as the soft opt-in. Under the soft opt-in, we only email you about similar products and services.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every marketing email, or by emailing accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk. We will still send you emails about your orders.
We never sell your information to anyone.
Trade credit and credit checks
If you apply for trade credit, we share your application details with our credit partner. They use credit reference agencies to make an instant decision based on a soft credit check. A soft check does not affect your credit rating. A fuller (hard) credit check may follow after your first order.
The instant decision is made automatically. If your application is declined, you can ask for the decision to be reviewed by a person and you can give your point of view. To do this, contact our credit partner or email us and we will pass on your request.
For credit checks and managing your credit account, our credit partner is responsible for how it uses your information and acts as a separate controller. Its own privacy notice explains this.
Who we share your information with
We only share your information where we need to, and we require the people we share it with to keep it secure. We share it with:
- delivery companies, hauliers and pallet networks, so they can deliver your order and contact you about it;
- our payment provider, to take card payments;
- our credit partner, if you apply for or use trade credit;
- the companies that host our website, run our online shop and send our emails;
- our IT support, accountants, insurers and professional advisers;
- analytics and advertising providers, but only if you have accepted optional cookies;
- the police, HMRC or other authorities, where the law requires it;
- a buyer of our business, if we sell all or part of it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers may store or access your information outside the UK. When this happens, we make sure it is protected. We do this by using providers in countries the UK government has approved as having adequate protection, or by using approved contract terms, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep your information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Orders, invoices and payment records | 6 years from the end of the financial year the order relates to, for tax and accounting purposes |
| Trade credit application records we hold | While your account is open, then 6 years |
| Customer service emails and enquiries that did not lead to an order | 2 years from our last contact with you |
| Marketing preferences | Until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep your email address on a suppression list so we do not email you again. |
| Website usage data | As set out in our cookie policy |
When we no longer need your information, we delete it or make it anonymous.
