About this board
Square 1525 x 1525 sheets of Latvian birch, the size cabinet makers know as Baltic birch. The B face is selected for few knots and only small patches, so it suits clear finished furniture, and the 15mm board has eleven plies of solid birch with no gaps in the core.
The square format cuts with less waste for drawer boxes and carcass parts than a standard 2440 x 1220 sheet. Exposed edges show the even striped layers many designers like. It is easy to move around a small workshop and takes biscuits, dominoes and pocket screws reliably.
