About this board

Malaysian hardwood plywood with a reddish meranti face over a mixed tropical hardwood core, bonded with a Class 2 glue for humid interior use. It is denser than poplar ply, with fewer core voids, so it gives a firmer fixing and a smoother painted finish.

The BB face is the one to show; the CC reverse can carry splits and open knots that are fine on hidden faces. Joiners use it for shopfitting carcasses, stage building and structural linings. It is CE marked for structural use and suits buyers who prefer a heavier hardwood board.
