About this board

All-birch plywood from Koskisen in Finland, nine plies laid up to 12mm with an exterior glue line and sanded both sides to BB/BB. The dense, even core makes a strong edge for exposed plywood furniture and holds screws and dowels much better than softer poplar boards.

Shopfitters use it for display units and drawer boxes, and van converters buy it by the pallet for floors and wall linings. Face patches take paint without trouble. Edges rout to a crisp profile, though a sharp carbide cutter is worth fitting because birch dulls cheap tooling quickly.
