Ordering
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single sheet or a full load. Delivery is charged by postcode and weight, so you can see the delivery cost at checkout before you pay.
How can I pay?
- Debit or credit card at checkout.
- Bank transfer for larger orders. Email info@e2-wholesale.co.uk and we will send you a pro forma invoice.
- Trade credit: pay in 30 days through our credit partner. See trade credit.
Can I collect from your warehouse?
Yes, by arrangement. Our warehouse is at Unit 2, Riverside Trade Park, Grays, RM20 0AA.
Call 020 4610 0729 or email info@e2-wholesale.co.uk to book a collection time. Please bring a vehicle that suits the size and weight of your order.
How do I know my order has gone through?
We email you as soon as you place your order. We then confirm your delivery date by email and by phone call or text, usually within 24 hours. Your order is confirmed when we email to say it has been dispatched.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible on 020 4610 0729 or at accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk. If your order has not been dispatched, we can usually change or cancel it. Special order lines may not be cancellable once we have ordered them from our supplier.
I buy from another supplier. How do I switch?
Send your usual order list, or a recent quote, to info@e2-wholesale.co.uk. We will match each line to our products and come back to you with prices.
See switching to E2 Wholesaler for more.
Prices and VAT
Do your prices include VAT?
Prices are shown excluding VAT by default, as most of our customers are trades. Use the VAT toggle to switch to prices including VAT. Your choice is remembered on your device.
VAT at 20% is added at checkout, and you see the full total before you pay.
How do price breaks work?
Many products get cheaper per sheet as you buy more. The price breaks are shown on each product page.
They apply automatically in your basket, based on the quantity of each product. When you reach a break, the lower price applies to the whole quantity of that product. Quantities of different products are not added together.
How much is delivery?
Delivery is calculated at checkout from your postcode and the weight of your order. It starts from £50 ex VAT. Our delivery page has the full table.
Do I get a VAT invoice?
Yes. You get a VAT invoice for every order.
Can I get a quote for a large order?
Yes. Email your list to info@e2-wholesale.co.uk with your delivery postcode, and we will send you a quote. Larger orders can be paid by bank transfer.
Delivery
Do you offer next-day delivery?
Yes. Next working day delivery is free in Zone 1 for in-stock orders placed before 11am.
Outside Zone 1, we can arrange next working day delivery at extra cost. Call 020 4610 0729 or email info@e2-wholesale.co.uk before you order.
How long will delivery take?
Standard delivery aims for 1 to 3 working days for in-stock lines. Some lines show 3 to 5 or 5 to 7 working days on the product page.
We deliver between 8am and 5pm on working days, and confirm your date by email and by call or text, usually within 24 hours of your order. Please do not book labour until your goods have arrived.
What does kerbside delivery mean?
The driver parks as close to your address as it is safe to do so, and the goods are unloaded at the kerbside. We do not carry goods into buildings, through gardens or up stairs.
You are responsible for unloading van deliveries. Our van drivers will help where they can.
How do I unload a heavy order?
Heavier orders come by truck-mounted forklift (Moffett) or pallet network, so you do not have to unload them by hand. We choose the method at checkout based on the weight of your order.
- Make sure the drop point is on firm, level ground with clear access.
- For van deliveries, have enough people ready. A full sheet of 18mm MDF weighs around 38kg.
Does someone need to be there?
Yes. Someone needs to be there to receive the goods, check them and sign the delivery note. If nobody is there, we will contact you to rearrange, and we may charge for redelivery.
My postcode is outside your delivery zones. What can I do?
We deliver to UK mainland zones 1 to 4, shown on our delivery page. If you are outside them, save your basket and use the share link to send it to info@e2-wholesale.co.uk with your postcode. We will tell you what we can do.
Trade accounts and credit
Do I need a trade account to order?
No. Trades and private buyers can order online and pay by card or bank transfer. Trade credit is optional and only for businesses.
How does trade credit work?
Trade credit lets your business pay in 30 days through our credit partner. Choose trade credit at checkout and you get a decision straight away. You then pay our credit partner by the due date on your invoice.
See trade credit for details.
Who can apply for trade credit?
Only people authorised to buy on behalf of their company can apply. Trade credit is not available to private buyers.
Will applying affect my credit rating?
No. The instant decision uses a soft credit check, which does not affect your credit rating. A fuller (hard) credit check may follow after your first order.
What if my application is declined?
You can still order and pay by card or bank transfer. If you think the decision is wrong, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a person. Email accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk and we will help.
Products
Can you cut sheets to size?
We supply full sheets. For cutting services, email info@e2-wholesale.co.uk with your list.
Can I order samples?
Samples are available on selected products. Where a sample is available, you will see the option on the product page. If you cannot see one, email info@e2-wholesale.co.uk.
Samples cannot be returned.
How do I work out how many sheets I need?
Use the sheet calculator on each product page. Enter your measurements and it gives you an estimated number of sheets.
It is a guide only. Please check your quantities and allow for cutting waste before you order.
Are your products FSC certified?
Some of our products are FSC certified. Only products identified as FSC certified on the product page and on your invoice are covered by our FSC certification.
What size are your sheets?
Most sheet materials are 2440 x 1220mm (8 x 4ft). Some lines, such as plasterboard, also come in other sizes, like 2400 x 1200mm. Each product page shows the exact sizes and thicknesses.
Why does my board look different from the photo?
Timber and veneers vary naturally in colour, grain and texture, so no two sheets are exactly the same. Colours on screens can also differ from the real product. This natural variation is not a defect.
Returns and damage
My delivery arrived damaged. What should I do?
Refuse the damaged items, or note the damage on the driver's delivery note and take photos. Then email accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk with your order number and photos within 24 hours of delivery.
We will replace the goods or refund you, and collect the damaged items at our cost.
What if something is missing from my delivery?
Write the shortage on the driver's delivery note before they leave, then tell us within 24 hours at accounts@e2-wholesale.co.uk. We will send the missing items or refund you.
Can I return goods I do not need?
- Private buyers have 14 days to cancel and return standard stock bought online.
- Trade customers can return standard stock by agreement within 14 days of delivery. A 20% restocking fee applies.
Goods must be unused and in resaleable condition. See our returns policy for full details.
What cannot be returned?
Unless they are faulty, we cannot take back:
- special order lines (3 to 5 and 5 to 7 working day lines);
- veneered MDF packs;
- goods cut to size;
- samples.
Who pays for returns?
If you have changed your mind, you arrange and pay for the return, or we can collect for a charge. If the goods are faulty or we sent the wrong item, we collect them at our cost.
How long do refunds take?
For private buyers who cancel, we refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back. For trade returns and faulty goods, we refund once we have received and checked the goods. Refunds go back to the payment method you used.
