About this board
Okoume faced, okoume cored and bonded with a boil-proof phenolic adhesive, this 12mm board meets BS 1088 in full. The standard limits core gaps and face defects tightly, so the sheet is consistent across its whole area and suits glued and screwed boat structures.
Beyond boats, it goes into outdoor furniture, wet room joinery, show trailers and anywhere a face will stay exposed to damp. Seal edges and faces before use. Okoume is softer than birch, so countersink screws carefully and use cups or plugs on visible fixings.
