Plasterboard.
Boards are 2400 x 1200 unless stated, from Gyproc, Knauf and Siniat. Use tapered edge for taped and jointed walls, square edge for a full skim, moisture resistant board in bathrooms, pink fire board where a fire rating is needed, and dense acoustic board between bedrooms and flats.

Buying guide
How to choose plasterboard.
Standard board (Type A) is for dry walls and ceilings. Moisture resistant board, usually green, goes in kitchens, bathrooms and behind tiles. Fire board, usually pink, adds resistance in partitions, garage ceilings and escape routes. Acoustic board is denser, to cut sound between rooms.
Tapered edges are for taping and filling, square edges for skimming. 12.5mm suits studs at 600mm centres, and 15mm improves fire and sound performance.
