About this timber

CLS studwork in 38 x 89mm, planed all round with rounded arrises, kiln dried and graded C16. The planed section is straighter and more consistent than sawn timber, so stud walls stay flat for plasterboard and need less packing.

The 2.4m length suits standard ceiling heights with a head and sole plate. It comes from Scandinavia, where slow growth gives tight, even grain that resists twisting. Prices fall at 100 and 200 lengths, a real saving across a whole house of partitions.
