About this timber

Deep 47 x 200mm C24 joists in 4.8m lengths, the common section for upstairs floors, flat roofs and loft conversions spanning up to about 4m, depending on loading and centres. Kiln dried, strength graded and regularised, so joists sit level without packing.

Heavy at over 20kg a length, it needs two people for long runs. Check span tables or engineer calculations before ordering. For notching and drilling, follow the usual rules: holes in the middle third of the depth, notches in the top edge near supports.
