About this timber

The largest carcassing section we stock: 47 x 225mm C24 in 4.8m lengths. It carries longer floor spans and heavier roof loads, and is often doubled up and bolted together as a timber beam where an engineer has designed one.

Kiln dried to around 20 percent moisture and strength graded, with every length stamped. Long joists of this depth can carry some spring or bow, so lay them crown uppermost. Fifty lengths or more qualify for the pack price, and the section is held in stock.
