About this timber

Slim CLS studwork at 38 x 63mm, planed all round with rounded edges, kiln dried, graded C16 and cut to 2.4m. It is used for lightweight partitions, boxing in, false walls in lofts and battening out walls where every millimetre of floor space counts.

It is lighter and cheaper than 38 x 89, but less stiff, so keep studs at 400mm centres for a solid wall. The eased edges are kind to hands and plasterboard. Bulk orders of 100 lengths or more cut the unit price.
