About this board
Knauf 15mm fire panel, a pink-faced board with a glass fibre reinforced gypsum core for partitions, shaft walls and floors needing 60 minutes or more in a tested system. The extra thickness also improves sound insulation and impact resistance over 12.5mm boards.
Two layers on each side of a metal stud is a common 90 to 120 minute build-up; always check the manufacturer data for the exact design. Each board weighs over 31kg, so use a board lifter or two fixers. Pallet orders of 60 or more get the lower price.
