About this board
Gyproc fire rated plasterboard with a pink face and glass fibre reinforced core that holds together longer in a fire. At 12.5mm in 2400 x 1200, it is the common choice for garage ceilings, integral garage walls and loft conversions needing 30 minutes protection.
Ratings apply to complete tested systems, so follow the published build-up for studs, fixings and joint treatment. Expect about 29kg a board, heavier than standard. Cuts and finishes exactly like normal plasterboard, with tapered edges for taping and jointing.
