About this board

Drawer components, cupboard backs, packing and shelf linings are where this 12mm P2 chipboard earns its place, wherever weight and cost matter more than strength. The sanded faces take glue and laminate well, and the fine top layer paints to a reasonably smooth finish.

Thin chipboard has limited screw holding, so glue joints or use inserts for anything that will be taken apart. Store flat on bearers to stop it bowing. Kronospan makes it in the UK, and quantities of 40 and 80 earn lower unit prices.
