About this board
Lightweight cement tile backer board with glass fibre mesh on both faces, 12mm thick in 1200 x 800 sheets that one person can carry and cut. It provides a stable, waterproof substrate for tiles in showers, wet rooms and around baths.
Screw to studs at 300mm centres with backer board screws and tape the joints with alkali resistant mesh tape set in adhesive. Tile directly with cement-based adhesive. Cut by scoring and snapping, which keeps dust to a minimum compared with sawing.
