About this board
Cembrit fibre cement building board, 9mm, made from cement reinforced with cellulose fibres and autoclaved for stability. It does not rot, is unaffected by frost and resists fire, so it goes on soffits, fascia backing, external linings and partitions in damp areas.
Cut with a fibre cement blade or score and snap thinner pieces, always with dust extraction. Fix with stainless screws at 300mm centres and keep fixings 15mm from edges. It takes masonry paint well once primed, though the natural grey face can also be left exposed.
