About this board
Hard maple veneer, crown cut and spliced to 2500 x 1250, 0.6mm thick. Maple has a fine, closed grain and a creamy white colour, giving a clean modern surface for furniture, joinery and instrument making, with an occasional subtle figure that catches the light.
Its tight grain needs no filling and takes a smooth lacquer, though maple can turn yellow under oil-based finishes. Glue with urea or PVA veneer adhesive in a press. Ordered in for you within three to five working days.
