About this board
Promat calcium silicate board, 9mm, a light, A1 non-combustible sheet used in tested fire protection systems for steelwork, ductwork, partitions and ceilings. The board is dimensionally stable, does not rot and stays strong in humid conditions.
Its fine, smooth face takes paint and decorative finishes directly. Fire resistance depends on the exact system, so work from the Promat data sheet for board thickness, fixings and joint details. A fine-tooth saw with extraction gives clean cuts. Supplied in 2500 x 1200 sheets to order.
