About this board
For heavier duty linings, floor overlays and external wall build-ups that must be A1 non-combustible, the 12mm Magply board is the one to buy. It holds fixings better and spans wider stud centres than 9mm, while still cutting with standard power tools fitted with a suitable blade.
It is heavier than plasterboard at about 37kg a sheet. Store it under cover before installation and leave 3mm joints between boards for movement. Magply publishes system details for render and tile finishes, so follow those for warranty-backed results.
