About this board
Kronobuild OSB3 from Kronospan, made in Chirk, North Wales, at 11mm, the thickness most timber frame designers use for racking sheathing. Long pine strands are laid in cross-oriented layers and bonded with moisture resistant resin, giving consistent strength across a full 2440 x 1220 sheet.
Builders also use it for garage linings, sarking on close-spaced rafters and site hoarding. Buy 84 or more for the pallet price. Keep the stack covered on site; occasional rain does no harm, but long soaking causes edge swelling that will telegraph through finishes.
